The Nerazzurri fight the Old Lady for the Scudetto this term and are currently three points behind the league leaders in Serie A.

The Belgian forward doesn’t regret moving to Inter from Manchester United last summer but admitted that he had the choice.

“This summer, I knew I was leaving [Manchester United],” he told Sky Sports UK. “I could’ve gone to Turin or Milan. I wanted to go to Inter and when my agent told me, I celebrated.”

Now, they are up against the Bianconeri and the 26-year-old striker has insisted that Inter “can’t make any mistakes” during the run-in.

“We can’t make any mistakes at the end of the season,” he added. “The team are strong, but we can’t think about anything yet. Conte knows what it takes to win, and then we’ll see.”

Lukaku has scored 14 goals in 21 Serie A games so far this term and he has praised his coach Antonio Conte, as he earlier revealed that he promised to follow him after his stint at Chelsea.

“Everyone around us are enthusiastic,” he said. “But in the dressing room we are very focused. During the first training sessions, I wasn’t used to the intensity. The Premier League is known for its physical aspect, but nobody trains as hard as here.

“At the beginning, I told Conte that I suffered during practice, but he was always there to support us. Sometimes the coaches joke around, but he is always there to spur you on.”
