Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek has a new offer from Hertha Berlin, claim Sky Sport Italia, pressuring Tottenham Hotspur to improve their bid.

The Poland international arrived from Genoa a year ago for €35m, but has not lived up to expectations and fell down the pecking order with the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and shift to a 4-4-2 formation.

Because the Rossoneri paid so much, they are only prepared to let him go on a permanent basis, or at the very least on loan with an obligation to buy, for €30m.

So far, Spurs have only attempted to get him on loan, but Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claimed on Tuesday evening that Hertha Berlin are ready to propose a permanent move.

There’s still no deal, as the German offer is below the €30m asking price and Piatek has not given the all-clear to the destination.

He has his heart set on Tottenham, where he would get regular playing time during Harry Kane’s lengthy injury lay-off.

Piatek played for 65 minutes in the Coppa Italia quarter-final this evening, but was booed off the field by Milan fans.
