Fiorentina have agreed a €10m plus bonuses deal for Genoa striker Christian Kouame, sending winger Riccardo Sottil on loan to Marassi.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb, Kouame could even have his medical tomorrow.

However, he would not be able to play for the Viola this season, as the 22-year-old is out for several more months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in November while on international duty.

However, he would not be able to play for the Viola this season, as the 22-year-old is out for several more months after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in November while on international duty.

That is why the figure is so low, at €10-11m, but there are many bonuses based on performance that will jack up the price if he returns to playing and scoring regularly after the injury.

Genoa should also receive a percentage of any future sale.

Kouame had practically agreed a move to West Ham United for the January window when he suffered the serious knee injury.

As for Sottil, the 20-year-old is the son of former Udinese and Fiorentina defender Andrea Sottil.

He plays on the left wing and has returned to base after a season-long loan at Pescara.

Sottil has made 12 competitive appearances this season for Fiorentina.
