Gervinho is stuck in limbo this morning, as it remains to be seen whether Parma and Al Sadd managed to get the transfer done in time.
The Ivorian tried to force through a move to Qatar on deadline day, as coach Roberto D’Aversa confirmed the striker “did not turn up to training for three days.”
According to multiple sources, the negotiations finally reached an agreement late on Friday night, long after the Serie A transfer window had shut, with mere moments to go before the Qatari deadline.
While the TMS did arrive from Parma, Gervinho and his agents went to bed not knowing if they had been able to file the paperwork in time.
This morning, there is still no firm news on the outcome, as Parma are due to pocket €5m and Gervinho a three-year contract worth €4m per season.
