This is the first match since the January transfer window shut, which saw captain Florenzi loaned to Valencia.

This is the first match since the January transfer window shut, which saw captain Florenzi loaned to Valencia.

“Paulo Fonseca was very clear in his press conference,” the director of sport told DAZN.

“The club wished Florenzi all the best of luck and that he can play consistently over the next few months.

“The paperwork states this is a dry loan, so at the end of the season, he will return to Roma. At that point, we’ll all sit down and evaluate the situation when the time comes.”

Florenzi is getting playing time already, as he is already thrown into the starting XI when Valencia face Celta Vigo this evening.
