The Rondinelle lost again to Bologna 2-1 yesterday, their fourth defeat in six games, leaving them second from bottom in the Serie A table.

It was reported last night that Corini could potentially be sacked for the second time after being brought back in late November following the dismissal of Fabio Grosso.

However the club have now released a statement saying otherwise.

“Brescia Calcio, in the name of President of Massimo Cellino, categorically denies the allegations in some parts of the media regarding a possible and imminent change of coach,” read the statement.

“The negative results obtained in the last period testify that evidently some mistakes have been made by everyone.

“Having said that, it is important to reiterate the full confidence of the owner in the work of the coach and his staff and we intend to continue with this group, with even greater commitment and a little more positivity.

“The group and the team are there and we will all give 100% to achieve our goal.”

Brescia have only won four games all season, but are just a single point from safety.
