The Viola were busy in the January transfer window, signing the likes Alfred Duncan, Kevin Agudello, Christian Kouame and Igor, whilst also securing Sofyan Amrabat for next season.

Prade was speaking to Lady Radio and commented on their moves in the market.

“Logically the first thing we wanted to do was for the present. We needed a striker, a midfielder with different characteristics from what we have and a defender,” Prade told the radio station.

“With Lucas Paqueta it was an interesting situation, but Milan only wanted to agree to a loan deal, but we always said we wanted people for the present and the future.

“Agudello has incredible potential for the future, he is an all-round player who can also play as a regista like [David] Pizarro.

“I hope [Luca] Ranieri and [Szymon] Zurkowski return to Fiorentina just as Gaetano Castrovilli did with Cremonese. We want these kids to grow and to match the idea of Fiorentina.”
