Lukas Haraslin has revealed the directors convinced him of moving to “a young and strong” Sassuolo.
The 23-year-old has arrived on loan with an obligation to buy from Lechia Gdansk after contributing two goals and four assists from 18 games in Ekstraklasa this term.
The Slovakia international admitted the chairman Giovanni Carnevali and director Francesco Palmieri sold him the project at the MAPEI Stadium.
“I made this choice because I felt that the club and the team are good,” he said at a press conference. “I spoke to the director Palmieri for a long time and he was speaking in a positive way about Sassuolo and the chairman Carnevali and that’s why I chose Sassuolo.”
He is versatile in the attack and has revealed that he prefers to play on the left, despite scoring more from the right.
“Sassuolo is a young, strong team, that’s what I’ve heard. They have very young players,” he said. “I prefer to play at the left, but I have scored more goals cutting in from the right. I can play left and right without problems.”
