Juventus have announced that Wojciech Szczesny has extended his deal at the Allianz Stadium until June 2024.
The Poland international arrived from Arsenal in 2017, after a stint on loan at Roma in the Italian capital, and after starting his Juventus career as back-up to Gianluigi Buffon, he is now the first choice between the sticks at the Old Lady.
“The wonderful adventure between Szczesny and Juventus will therefore continue until 2024 and there is no doubting this is a deserved renewal,” the club wrote on their official website.
The 29-year-old has played 16 games in Serie A this term and have kept six clean sheets in the process.
Juventus are currently preparing for their first leg in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia against Milan on Thursday.
Buffon has been handed the responsibility in the Italian cup and Szczesny has yet to feature in the tournament this season. He will most likely sit out against the Rossoneri also this week.
