Lopez: 'Balo a great influence at Brescia'

Brescia coach Diego Lopez has praised Mario Balotelli for his “great influence on the team” and said all his players "must take responsibility".

The Uruguayan was appointed as the new coach at the Mario Rigamonti earlier this month and started his reign with a point against Udinese.

Dimitri Bisoli scored the goal for Brescia, who looked like they were going to claim all the three points, only for Rodrigo de Paul to equalise in stoppage time for the Friuli.

Brescia are currently six points away from safety and Lopez looks to Balotelli to use his influence to shoot Le Rondinelle into safety.

“Mario has a great influence on the team,” Lopez told Sport890. “He is mature, and he knows what we are playing for.

“When I arrived, I immediately told my players that I have no intentions of controlling what they are doing off the pitch.

“Everyone must take responsibility.”

Next up for Brescia is a tough trip to Turin on Sunday, when they play Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
