Genoa have confirmed that Lasse Schone didn't suffer a serious injury, but revealed that Paolo Ghiglione might be out for a month with a hamstring problem.
The two players had to leave the pitch against Cagliari and the medical tests have revealed the extent of their respective problems.
Schone could be back already for the next game against Bologna, as the tests didn’t reveal an injury and the Danish 33-year-old will be undergo further tests ahead of this weekend.
Ghiglione, on the other hand, might sit out the next month with a second-degree tear in his hamstring and will most likely miss the games against Milan, Lazio and Parma.
“Genoa Cricket and Football Club report that the instrumental tests for Lasse Schone did not reveal a lesion,” the club wrote in a press release. “For Paolo Ghiglione, a second-degree injury to the hamstring was highlighted by the tests.”
Ghiglione has appeared 20 times in the League for Genoa this term and Davide Nicola will now have to cope without the defender in an important month for the Rossoblu – who are currently 18th in Serie A, three points away from safety.
