Milan director Paolo Maldini says the club are “happy” with coach Stefano Pioli, despite the derby defeat to Inter.
Pioli has been in charge of the Rossoneri since October, when he replaced Marco Giampaolo.
Pioli has steadied the ship, but it is expected that he won’t make it past the end of the current season.
“We are happy with Pioli, he took over in a difficult situation, in a team that was not doing well,” Maldini told Sky Sport Italia.
“The squad is made up of young players, he gave the team an identity. From now to the end of the season many things can happen.
“Everyone – players, coaches and managers, we all live on results.
“We are happy with his work, what we hope is that we have a very good second half of the season.
“I think we can do it, then we’ll sit down in May to plan the future with him.”
