Lorenzo Insigne admits the Coppa Italia is “important” to Napoli, but he is injured for the first leg of the semi-final against Inter this evening.
It kicks off at 19.45 GMT, click here for the line-ups and LIVEBLOG.
“We need a great performance, as we certainly didn’t give our best against Lecce. There are regrets that we wasted so many chances,” Insigne told Rai Sport, referring to Sunday’s 3-2 Serie A home defeat.
“Now we are called to step up, get back to our levels and cause problems for Inter. The Coppa Italia is important, because in a season like this, it can be a great achievement to win the trophy.
“In any case, we mustn’t think about the Final right now, as we have to play this game as well as possible.”
Insigne is suffering from a knock he picked up in training this morning, so is only on the bench.
“It doesn’t matter who starts, as long as Napoli play as a team, the way we did in those opening minutes against Lecce.”
