Valeri Bojinov flew in for his medical with Serie B side Pescara and confessed he “really wanted to come back to Italy.”

The Bulgarian is a free agent who turns 34 next week and spent much of his career in Italy with Lecce, Fiorentina, Juventus, Parma and Hellas Verona.

“I really wanted to come back to Italy, but until there’s ink on paper, I can’t say anything,” Bojinov told Gianlucadimarzio.com.

He had also been linked with Catania and warned the decision has not yet entirely been made.
