A deflected Fabian Ruiz effort made the difference at San Siro in the first leg of the semi-final.

“After a heavy home defeat to Lecce, we put in a great performance this evening and all the lads deserve credit,” the defender told Rai Sport.

“We lifted our heads against a strong team that is challenging for the Scudetto at the moment. Qualification is still 50-50, because Inter are a great team, they will come to the San Paolo looking to play their game, so we want to win the second leg too.”

The decider will be at the Stadio San Paolo on March 5 and Napoli have a precious lead with away goal.

“We’ve worked during the week on our defensive movements and have improved, but for some reason tend to concede at the first chance for the smaller opponents.”
