With a perfect 10 out of 10 in the qualifiers, Mancini has brought the great expectations back for Italy ahead of the European Championship.

And the Azzurri CT feels that he can take the team far in the tournament but claimed that he expects that his team start the Finals with their feet on the ground.

“If we start with the headlights turned off and have great humility at Euro 2020, our national team could go far, very far,” Mancini told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I hope our opponents will underestimate us.

Italy are placed in Group A and kick off with a game against Turkey on June 12. Switzerland and Wales complete the group and will be concluded at the Stadio Olimpico against the Red Dragons.

The former Inter and Manchester City coach has revealed that ‘most of the Azzurri squad has already been decided’.
