La Dea welcome Roma to Bergamo in a clash between fourth and fifth in the Serie A table tomorrow, with kick off at 19:45 GMT. You can read the match preview here.

A win for La Dea tomorrow could widen the gap between the two sides in the race for the last Champions League spot, but Gasperini states that the match isn’t critical for either side.

“We are in an excellent moment, it is said by some that it will be a decisive clash, but every game is,” said Gasperini in his press conference.

“There are 15 games until the end of the season and it doesn’t determine how the table will finish. We have Roma, Valencia and Sassuolo in the next week.”

Gasperini expects Roma to be difficult opponents, despite their lack of form in recent games.

“Roma are a valuable side, just look at their attack. They have seven or eight attackers like Edin Dzeko, of absolute quality.

“They started with ambitions of getting back into the Champions League, in previous seasons they finished second or third in the league, and reached the semi final of the Champions League.

“It will be a balanced game.”

Despite the Valencia game on the horizon, Gasperini states there won’t be a turnover of players.

“I’ve never had players who don’t play, everyone plays. Just look at the number of appearances.

“I don’t know what is meant by a turnover. We face this game with the best team in mind. It’s never a problem to play in the week, look at Verona.”

Atalanta meet Valencia on Wednesday, and Gasperini says it would be a lie to suggest that the game isn’t on their minds.

“It wouldn’t be honest to say we aren’t thinking about it, there are two games, and we have the chance to make it to the quarter final.

“It would be a huge achievement.”
