Pep Guardiola has shot down reports he is preparing a summer move to Juventus after Manchester City’s European ban. “This is my club and I will be here, no matter what.”
When news emerged that Manchester City had been given a two-season ban from European competition as a result of Financial Fair Play violations, it was reported that Juve were ready to swoop for the tactician.
Guardiola spoke to BBC Sport after their 2-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United this evening.
“We appeal. When someone believes they are right they have to fight,” said Guardiola.
“If they don't sack me, I will be here. I love this club. I like to be here. This is my club and I will be here, no matter.
“The club has to fight and I trust the club 100%, what they have done and they have explained to me.
“This situation is not finished and we will wait but until the resolution is not done you have to play and play and that is what is going to happen.”
