Bologna's Svanberg out for a month

Bologna have confirmed midfielder Mattias Svanberg will be out for approximately a month after a left thigh strain.

The Swede limped off during last week’s 3-0 home defeat to Genoa.

A statement released this afternoon by the club confirmed the diagnosis of a semitendinosus lesion to the left thigh.

The recovery time is expected to be three to four weeks.

It is a blow for the 21-year-old, who has made 16 competitive appearances for Bologna this season.

Bologna are already going to host Udinese without suspended Jerdy Schouten and Stefano Denswil, while Mitchell Dijks, Nicola Sansone, Roberto Soriano, Federico Santander, Gary Medel and Ladislav Krejci are injured.
