Ludogorets coach Pavel Vrba was disappointed with the 2-0 home defeat, but “we were up against Inter, one of the best teams in the Europa League.”
Christian Eriksen and a Romelu Lukaku penalty sealed the first leg of the Round of 32 in Razgrad.
“It’s a pity about the result, but we must recognise that we were up against Inter, one of the best teams and biggest clubs in the Europa League,” said Vrba in his press conference.
“It’s going to be tough to turn this around at San Siro, even more complicated than today’s game, but we’ll work to do the best we can.
“The disappointment is that we didn’t play the whole match the way we did the first half. With a 0-0 scoreline, the second leg would certainly have been more interesting.
“Our defence and the goalkeeper did well, but unfortunately we didn’t finish the chances that we were able to create on the counter-attack. We expected more from our forwards, but Inter showed their strength.”
