Blaise Matuidi has announced that Juventus decided to trigger the option to extend his contract with another year at the Allianz Stadium.
The World Cup winner’s contract with the Old Lady was set to expire after this year, but now the 32-year-old has revealed that he will stay in Turin for another season.
“In my contract there was an option for another year,” he told Sport24. “Juventus have exercised it. I never had any doubts about it. I feel the trust of everyone."
The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder came to the Bianconeri in august 2017 and has played 118 games so far for the reigning champions.
He has scored eight times and assisted seven in the process and is capped 84 times by the French national side, currently looking to claim a spot in Didier Deschamp’s Euro 2020 squad.
