Roma are sweating over injured Lorenzo Pellegrini, who could reportedly be out for a month after coming off at half-time against Lecce.
The influential attacking midfielder was substituted as a precaution after picking up a problem in his right thigh, but the newspaper based in Rome, Il Corriere dello Sport, reveals that the tests at Trigoria didn’t verify the extent of his muscle injury.
He is apparently still in pain and will undergo an MRI scan at the Trigoria today. The report states that the worst-case scenario would be a lesion in the right thigh and claims that Pellegrini could be out for a month.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan might replace the trequartista and play behind Edin Dzeko when Roma travel to Belgium against KAA Gent on Thursday.
