This is a huge event in the city under the shadow of Vesuvius, Messi visiting the stadium that was practically a shrine to Diego Armando Maradona.

It is also the Champions League debut for both coaches, as Gennaro Gattuso and Quique Setien took over after the group phase was completed in December, replacing Carlo Ancelotti and Ernesto Valverde respectively.

Both teams also have injury problems, with Kalidou Koulibaly, Fernando Llorente and Kevin Malcuit out for the hosts, while Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele did not make the journey.
