Napoli forward Dries Mertens will reportedly be out for 10 days after suffering a severe bruise on the ankle against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The Belgium international scored the opener for the Partenopei and equalled Marek Hamsik’s record as all-time leading goalscorer for the Azzurri.
But his performance against Barca at the San Paolo ended in another injury, as Sergio Busquets hit him with a high foot and made sure the forward had to leave the pitch only moments after.
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that the attacker will need 10 days to recover from “a severe bruised ankle” and will sit out against Torino in the League this weekend.
The Sky Sport Italia journalist claims the prognosis has revealed that the attacker should be back in time to play in the return leg at Camp Nou.
