Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey admitted that Olympique Lyonnais “took full advantage” of their home leg but warned that “they still have to come to our place”.
The Welsh midfielder came off the bench in the 62nd minute to replace Miralem Pjanic but he couldn’t help the Old Lady back into the game.
It ended with a 1-0 defeat at the Groupama Stadium during the first leg of the last 16 in the Champions League against Lyon and Ramsey revealed that the Bianconeri expected a "difficult evening" against Rudi Garcia's men.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult place to come,” he told UEFA.com. “They have some great players and their fans get right behind them.
“So, we knew it was going to be a difficult evening, but they took full advantage of that. We tried to break them down and kept trying until the end, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
“We’re still in this tie, there’s still a long way to go and they have to come to our place now so hopefully we can turn it around.”
