Valencia star Dani Parejo has warned Atalanta that Los Che “always react in difficult times” after the 4-1 defeat in the first leg at San Siro last week.

The captain has played 34 games for Valencia this campaign and reached a new milestone in the middle of the park for the club.

His 370 games for Los Che mean that he is now among the list of top 10 players with the most appearances for the club and he has been through ups and downs at the Mestalla during his nine years with the club.

The 30-year-old has vowed to fight on despite a difficult season in La Liga, topped by a thumping defeat against the Nerazzurri in the last 16 of the Champions League last week.

“It’s true that we are not in a great moment,” he told Valencia’s official website. “Things aren’t going how would like them to.

“The group are still convinced, and we have always reacted in difficult times. We have done important things when nobody gave us a penny.”

Valencia are currently eight in La Liga and out of the Copa del Rey after a run of five games without a win.
