Juventus defender Danilo has blamed a poor first half against Olympique Lyonnais and has admitted that the Bianconeri "must keep training to improve".

The Brazilian right-back played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at the Groupama Stadium and felt the Old Lady improved after the break.

“I don’t think we were good enough in the first half,” he told JTV. “In the return leg we have to play as we did in the second half today. We were compact and played with intensity.”

Juventus left the pitch without scoring for the first time in 32 matches but having only scored seven times in their last five games, Danilo admits they must “improve” their record in front of goal.

“We must keep training to improve,” he added. “We are aware of the fact that we aren’t doing well and to win, we must fight until the end.”
