Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo says their Derby d’Italia clash against Inter will be “as good” as El Clasico, also to be played on Sunday.
The Portuguese star played in a number of Real Madrid-Barcelona matches during his time with Los Blancos, and spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the upcoming Derby d’Italia.
“It will be a great match, as will Real Madrid and Barcelona, which will be played on Sunday evening also,” Ronaldo told the broadcaster.
“The game against Inter is one of those good games to play in, like those against Milan or Lazio. Everyone likes to play in this type of match.
“It will be a fantastic game and we will try to play a great game.”
The Derby d’Italia will be played behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus spreading throughout northern Italy.
“We are not happy with the absence of the fans, but the responsibilities remain the same, to win and to have a good game.
“It will not be nice to have no fans inside the stadium, but health comes first and if closing the doors is the best solution then it is right that this decision has been made.”
Italy has had over 800 confirmed cases of the disease, with 21 deaths.
