Torino boss Moreno Longo believes Napoli “have overcome” their problems following their 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Longo’s side travel south to face Rino Gattuso’s Napoli, with kick off tomorrow at 19:45 GMT, and the Torino coach says he was impressed with the Partenopei’s performance against the Catalans on Tuesday.

“Napoli have overcome their moment of crisis that they had, I believe. I saw a team that was humble, which paid maximum attention to all of the details,” Longo told Torino’s official TV channel.

“They are a team that are starting to mirror their coach. Consequently, I expect an eager Napoli to do well, but nobody at this moment will have more desire than us to go and leave the Stadio San Paolo with points.”

Torino’s clash with Parma was cancelled last weekend due to the Coronavirus outbreak, and Longo says the extended break served his side well.

“We come into this game against Napoli with a week and more of training, and this we needed.

“We are improving the general condition of the squad but also the injury situation, we have recovered players like Simone Zaza, Daniele Baselli and Cristian Ansaldi for example, players that needed to train with more continuity.

“In this aspect we have utilised the week well.”
