Sampdoria’s game against Verona will be played behind closed doors, after confirmation arrived from the President of the Liguria region Giovanni Toti.

The game had been in doubt to be played at all, however the Liguria region hasn’t been as badly affected as other regions of the country with the Coronavirus, namely Veneto or Lombardy.

President of the region of Liguria Giovanni Toti has now confirmed that the game, to be held at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, will be held behind closed doors.

It’s only the second game to be held with no fans, following Inter’s Europa League clash against Ludogrets on Thursday.

Tomorrow’s game will be the first Serie A game to be held behind closed doors.

Kick off is expected at 19:45 GMT.
