Primavera coach Emiliano Bigica has claimed the Serbian starlet Dusan Vlahovic “could become” Fiorentina’s own Mario Mandzukic.

The Serbia Under-21 international has played 21 games and contributed six goals in Serie A for the Viola this campaign and has been getting a lot of praise for his efforts of late.

Bigica, a former player and now youth coach at the club, has praised the 20-year-old and compared him to the former Croatia international and Scudetto winner Mandzukic.

“His strength is that he loves to play football,” he told Toscana TV. “Whether it was for the first team or the Primavera, he always wants to play.

“As far as his characteristics are concerned, I think he can become one of the best strikers around.

“He sees the goal; he has the physique. And in the long run, in my opinion, he could become our Mandzukic, but with much more technique.”
