Asmir Begovic could start Milan’s match against Genoa as Gianluigi Donnarumma didn’t participate in training, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The broadcaster has reported that the Italy international might have to sit out the League match against the Rossoblu this weekend.

That would open for Begovic to start the match, reportedly set to take place at 11:30 GMT on Sunday and it would represent the Bosnian goalkeeper’s first start for the Rossoneri.

The former Bournemouth keeper came on to replace an injured Donnarumma during the 1-1 draw against Fiorentina on February 22 but wasn’t able to help the Diavolo keep a clean sheet in his debut.

Erick Pulgar’s penalty goal equalised Ante Rebic’s opener at the Artemio Franchi and ruined the former Bosnia international’s first appearance for his new club.
