Inzaghi has admitted that the complications in Italy has taken its toll on the happy moment for the Stregoni and hopes that the championship will be postponed until the fans can return to the stadiums.

“I have a hard time talking about football right now,” Inzaghi told the news agency ANSA. “These guys deserve to return to the pitch with the stadium full and to enjoy a historic campaign for the whole Serie B.

“I hope they stop everything, moving forward like this doesn’t make sense. This team deserves to celebrate with their fans. At this moment, we can no longer enjoy anything.

“Health comes first, football must come back when the time is right.”
