With all of Italy ordered to stay indoors during the Coronavirus pandemic to slow the spread of the highly-contagious disease, a series of flashmobs have sprung up.

Some groups sang club anthems from their balconies, others joined in a jamming session with their instruments, while today at midday all over the country people let out a round of applause from their windows for the hard-working medical staff.

Now Napoli have decided to organise their own flashmob, sending out a tweet asking for all fans in the city to sing their well-known team anthem at 19.45 local time, the usual kick-off for a Serie A evening game.

They’re asked to sing Un giorno all’improvviso, which many will also recognise as Liverpool’s Champions League song ‘Allez Allez Allez.’

The Liverpool supporters picked it up after last season’s matches against Napoli and gave it their own lyrics.

The Napoli tweet also included the hashtag for 'Ha Da Passa' A Nuttata' – a famous Neapolitan phrase meaning 'We'll get through the night', used regularly during times of crisis when awaiting the light at the end of the tunnel.
