Legendary architect Vittorio Gregotti, who designed among others the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa, has died after contracting Coronavirus.

He was 92 years old and developed pneumonia as a result of the illness.

His wife Marina Mazza is in the same Milan hospital, also suffering from COVID-19 and its complications.

Among Gregotti’s famous works, the one most familiar to football fans is the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, also known as Marassi.
