Former Real Madrid President Lorenzo Sanz is reportedly in intensive care in a Spanish hospital, suffering from the coronavirus.
According to Marca and newspaper Ideal, the patron is in serious condition and was rushed to hospital with a high fever.
The 76-year-old is in the high-risk group for those who do contract COVID-19.
Sanz was the President of Real Madrid from 1995 to 2000, winning two Champions League trophies against Juventus and Valencia.
Meanwhile, Serie B side Virtus Entella announced one of their directors tested positive for coronavirus.
The unnamed official’s fever has subsided and he did not require hospital treatment.
