Koffi Djidji has revealed that the Torino squad tested negative for the COVID-19 and said they “can’t wait to be back and everything returns to normal”.
The Ivory Coast international arrived from Nantes in 2018 and has appeared 29 times in Serie A for the Granata, collecting 12 matches this campaign.
Toro were on a run of seven straight defeats when the season was suspended, including the Coppa Italia exit against Milan.
The 27-year-old admitted that Torino have been going through testing times also off the pitch due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus in Italy.
“We stopped training and underwent the test,” he told Calciomio.fr. “We all passed. We must respect the guidelines like everyone else and we continue to train daily.
“It’s not an easy time, but we can spend more time with our families. However, we can’t wait until we are back, and everything returns to normal.”
Torino are currently 15th in Serie A, only two points above the relegation zone, with Lecce currently 18th in the League on 25 points.
