Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini gave an update on the three players who tested positive for coronavirus. “Fortunately, their symptoms disappeared quickly.”
Dusan Vlahovic was the first member of the squad to be confirmed with COVID-19, quickly followed by Patrick Cutrone, German Pezzella and a couple of staff members.
“Our players are fine at the moment. Those who tested positive for the virus had a few symptoms, but fortunately those disappeared quickly,” Iachini told news agency ANSA.
“It is certainly a complicated moment for everyone. It’s natural to feel worried, but I have faith too. If we all do our duty, we’ll get out of this situation soon.
“I am proud of my club’s fund-raising initiative, which shows how much our President Rocco Commisso cares about Italy and Florence.”
Franck Ribery has donated €50,000 to the ‘Forza e Cuore’ charity set up by Commisso and Fiorentina to raise funds for local hospitals.
