Lazio hitman Ciro Immobile described the “totally different” coaching methods of Simone Inzaghi, Unai Emery, Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte.
The Italy international has found his niche at the Stadio Olimpico, after spells at Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund, where he got to work with some of the world’s current top managers.
“The training sessions in Spain are pretty similar to in Italy,” explained Immobile in an Instagram live stream.
“Emery is a very tactical coach, he reminds me a little of Conte in the way that he prepares for games. Klopp was totally different. His sessions were all about the ball, you were in constant movement, never still for a moment. He gave me a great deal in my career.
“Inzaghi, obviously, is more Italian in his style, but he balances the two very well. There’s a lot of work with the ball and just the right amount of tactical focus.”
In a question and answer session, Immobile was asked who he would choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
“I’d like to exchange jerseys with Messi, whereas I already have done with Ronaldo after one of his first games played for Juventus. I did get to meet Messi and we had a picture taken together, even though he wasn’t playing, when Italy had a friendly with Argentina.
“We talked about his son and I asked why he had called him Ciro.”
