Sassuolo forward Francesco Caputo says he picks himself in fantasy football and talks about his bet with Alessandro Del Piero.
Caputo talked to Sky Sport Italia and discussed an array of topics, starting with being in lockdown due to the on going Coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s not easy to stay at home, above all because I have three children, we have a lot of activities to do,” Caputo told the broadcaster.
“Drinking beer? I try to drink as little as possible, because we can’t train!”
Caputo then revealed he made a bet with Juventus legend Del Piero.
“He was always my idol, he said to me that if I score 20 goals in Serie A he would get to know me. He immediately responded on social media, I believe and hope that I'll succeed.”
Caputo has scored 13 goals in Serie A this season, and hopes he could earn a call-up to the Azzurri.
“I am happy for the kind words from coach [Roberto] De Zerbi, I really thank him. The dream of every player is to play for the national side.
“I am good, I feel like a young lad and I will always give the maximum. Perhaps those dreams will be realised. At Sassuolo I have found my ideal dimension.
“Here we play a football that you rarely see. At the end they all talk about numbers, if we continue this way perhaps there will be space for me.”
Caputo then revealed a little secret about playing fantasy football.
“I try to always be available for all of my fantasy-coaches, which I will never stop thanking.
“I also bought myself in fantasy football. I am in attack with Josip Ilicic!”
Caputo then named the strongest defender he has come up against.
“A really tough defender is Inter’s Milan Skriniar, he’s very strong.”
