Everton are linked with Napoli pair Allan and Kalidou Koulibaly, as Carlo Ancelotti allegedly looks to negotiate with his former boss Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The Italian tactician might make a swift return to Naples, but only to discuss possible transfer targets for his new side from Goodison Park.
After a turbulent season at the San Paolo, Allan looks set to leave this summer and Ancelotti, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, eyes an opportunity for the Toffees to bring the Brazilian midfielder to Merseyside.
Reports in Italy have suggested that the Partenopei are also planning for a life without Senegalese defender Koulibaly and the newspaper suggests that Ancelotti will make an effort to bring the centre-half to Everton.
Previous reports have suggested that Koulibaly has a host of admirers across Europe and the competition from big clubs fighting for the top prizes won’t help Ancelotti in his attempt to convince the Senegal international of a move to the blue side of Merseyside.
The 60-year-old lasted for one and a half year at the Azzurri before he was replaced by Gennaro Gattuso in December last year.
But the former Milan coach has signed a deal until 2024 with Everton and has already made significant improvements at Goodison Park in his first 12 games in charge.
