Roma winger Justin Kluivert says he has changed positions since joining the club from Ajax, and “is liking” how he’s being utilised by coach Paulo Fonseca.
Kluivert joined the Giallorossi from Ajax in the summer of 2018 and initially struggled in his first season in the capital.
However since Paulo Fonseca arrived on the Roma dugout, Kluivert has become a key player under the Portuguese coach.
Speaking to Fox Sport, the Dutchman opened up about life under Fonseca.
“In reality I like it [playing in a different role]. I’m in a slightly different position than before,” Kluivert told the broadcaster.
“I’m almost a 10 and now I am starting to better understand the requests of the coach.
“In Holland I played openly and often found myself in one on one situations.”
Kluivert has made 18 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
