Sampdoria have announced that their staff members who tested negative for coronavirus can now exit isolation.

Samp’s squad had been in quarantine after several of their players had been diagnosed with the virus.

However, a statement on the club’s official website this afternoon confirmed those who tested negative and showed no symptoms during the period could now leave their homes.

“All the players are well and are performing scheduled physical-athletic activity at their homes,” it added.

Despite that, Italy remains in a state of lockdown so only essential trips are permitted.

As for those who tested positive – Manolo Gabbiadini, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina, Morten Thorsby, Fabio Depaoli, Bartosz Bereszynski and now Edgar Barreto – the Blucerchiati commented they would undergo fresh examinations.
