The FIGC will, according to Corriere della Sera, meet with the government to hand in a proposal of measures to save football from a financial crisis.
Football has stopped across Europe due to the Coronavirus emergency and the FIGC has reportedly highlighted the need to safeguard certain categories of players.
The revenue lost due to the forced break means that football risks a serious financial crisis and the newspaper writes that the FIGC has scheduled to meet with the Italian government to present their proposal of measures to save the system and all its activities.
The proposal will include a request of economic benefits for the players who have an income of no more than €50,000 a year, mostly players from Serie B and Serie C.
