Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira revealed last week that PSG sporting director Leonardo had opened talks with the player’s agent Fali Ramadani.

Now, Schira is reporting a deal has moved a step closer, with the Ligue 1 giants proposing a five-year contract worth €10m plus bonuses.

The 28-year-old would come in as a direct replacement for ex-Milan man Thiago Silva, who will leave PSG this summer at the earliest.
