Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca has reportedly given the nod for Roma to make a move for Porto forward Tiquinho Soares.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Brazilian striker could come on a bargain deal for the Giallorossi, despite having a €40m release clause in his current contract with the Portuguese giants.

The newspaper writes that Porto already rejected a €23m offer from China last summer, but the player’s deal at the Estadio do Dragao will expire in June 2021 and might have to sell this summer, or risk the player leaving on a free after the next campaign.

Meanwhile, the report claims the financial situation after the coronavirus pandemic will lead to a drop in prices and predicts his signature would come at a cost between €12m and €15m.

The 29-year-old has scored seven goals in 20 League matches for Porto this term and has picked up both a Primeira Liga title and the Portuguese Super Cup crown since his arrival from Vitoria Guimaraes in January 2017.
