Reports are growing in Italy and Spain that Barcelona and Lazio will bid for €50m-rated Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.

The Rossoneri will likely need to sell players this summer to raise funds and Gianluigi Donnarumma might not be the only star leaving the club.

Romagnoli’s transfer value has more than doubled since his €25m transfer from Roma in the summer of 2015, but as part of the deal, Milan owe the Giallorossi a 30 per cent cut of the profits.

Tuttosport had already pointed out yesterday that Lazio were showing interest, as the 25-year-old centre-back has always been a fan of the Biancocelesti.

However, Spanish newspaper Sport and Italy's Corriere dello Sport reiterate that Barcelona are also contenders for the Italy international, whose contract only runs to June 2022.

Agent Mino Raiola is trying to improve Romagnoli’s salary of €3.5m per season.
