Report: Milan approach Tonali

Sandro Tonali seems set to leave Brescia after the current campaign and the latest report claims Milan have joined the chase with Juventus and Inter.

Despite struggling to help Brescia to a safe spot in Serie A, currently bottom of the League, the 19-year-old has impressed enough to attract interest from the top clubs in Italy.

The Italy international has contributed five assists and scored once so far during his first season in Serie A, earning him a place in Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri squad last autumn.

He is currently tied to a deal until June 2021, with an option for a further year, and President Massimo Cellino, according to Calciomercato.com, wants €50m for the talented midfielder.

Juventus and Inter have been linked with the boy from Lodi and the Bianconeri are reportedly on pole for now but have not yet closed a deal with the Rondinelle patron.

Inter are not intending to leave the negotiations without a fight, but the outlet claims Milan are preparing to launch an offer, making the dealings more complicated for the two teams currently in the Scudetto battle.

Tonali has revealed to be a fan of Milan and the report suggests the Rossoneri have been in touch with both Brescia and the player’s agent.

The Diavolo will have to accommodate to free up the required resources for a deal at this scale, but Benfica have been linked with Lucas Paqueta and could bring the money to convince Cellino to let Tonali leave.
