Parma director of sport Daniele Faggiano confessed they are thinking about the return to the Stadio Tardini of Sebastian Giovinco. “We’ll see…”
The 33-year-old had the best seasons of his career at Parma, on loan from Juventus from 2010 to 2012.
He is currently in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal Riyadh, having left Toronto FC in January 2019.
When director of sport Faggiano was asked about a potential Giovinco signing on Sky Sport Italia, his response was a smirk.
Parma coach Roberto D’Aversa was also taking part in the discussion and intervened by noting “you’ve been talking to me about him for two years.”
Indeed, the Atomic Ant had been approached in January as a replacement for Gervinho, only for the Ivorian’s transfer to collapse at the last minute.
Giovinco scored 23 goals and provided 19 assists in 70 competitive outings for Parma.
