Lautaro Martinez’s agent said the striker is “honoured” by interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City, but “is concentrated exclusively on Inter.”
The 22-year-old Argentine has a €111m release clause in his contract and is repeatedly linked with a move in the summer, above all towards Camp Nou.
“Lautaro is just going ahead as if nothing was happening. He is concentrated solely and exclusively on his club, but is certainly satisfied to know that he’s doing so well,” agent Beto Yaque told Mundo Deportivo.
His rapport with fellow Argentina international Lionel Messi is behind much of the speculation.
“Messi is the best player in the world, so when he praises you, it’s an honour. He has a good relationship with Messi, just as with everyone else in the Argentina squad.
“Lautaro has five years on his contract with Inter and the stories that are circulating in the media have nothing to do with us. You’d have to ask them.”
It was reported that Martinez had turned down a move to Real Madrid before accepting his €25m transfer to Inter in July 2018.
“He did that because he was always convinced that he’d make his mark at Racing Club. He never said that he didn’t want to play for Real Madrid, just that he wanted to triumph with Racing first.”
